An Insightful Visit to the Post Office
The Class V students of Faridabad Model School, Sector-31, visited the Head Post Office, Nehru Ground, NIT, Faridabad, on 20 August 2026 as part of an educational visit aimed at providing them with practical knowledge of postal and banking services.
The students were warmly welcomed by Development Officer Mr. Rakesh Verma, who interacted with them and explained various postal services, including ordinary post, speed post, booking, delivery and parcel services. The students also learnt about banking facilities offered through the Post Office, including different types of accounts and government schemes such as Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana and Senior Citizen Savings Scheme.
The students further visited the Aadhaar Card Enrolment Centre and the Delivery Centre, where they observed the processes of sorting and stamping parcels carried out by postmen before delivery.
The visit proved to be an informative and enriching experience for the students, helping them understand the functioning of the Post Office and its various services through firsthand observation.
Director Mr. Umang Malik expressed his gratitude to the Post Office team for their warm hospitality and for enriching the students’ learning through this valuable educational experience.
