Faridabad Model School, Sector-31, celebrated SPORTS & APPRECIATION DAY in the school premises on February 07, 2026. The eminent dignitaries present at the occasion were Sh. Rajesh Garg - (Addl. District and Sessions Judge) Retd., Sh. Dinesh Raghuvanshi- Internationally acclaimed Poet and Author, Sh. AK Malik- Managing Director, FMS Managing Committee, former Advisor to the President of Zambia, and former Commissioner, Cabinet Secretariat, Govt. of India, Sh. SS Gusain – Chief Patron, H.P.S.C, Rtn. H. S. Malik- Former Chairman CWC, Govt. of Haryana, Mrs. Raj Malik- Educational Counsellor and Founder Principal, FMS Sec-48, Sh. SR Tewatia, Sh. Ramesh Chaudhary, Sh. Dhruv Malik- Entrepreneur, Chairman Venus Foods Pvt. The celebration started with lamp lighting ceremony. Sh. Rajesh Garg-Retd. (Addl. District and Sessions Judge) honourable guest for the occasion unfurled the school flag. Students showcased their skills through March Past and various dance drills where FMSians showed discipline, coordination and physical strength. The FMS founder’s scholarship awardees for the session (2025-26) along with other outstanding FMSians who won at district, state and national levels were awarded in the glittering Prize Distribution Ceremony. Sh. Rajesh Garg and Sh. Dinesh Raghuvanshi congratulated the awardees and their parents and highlighted the importance of sports and extra-curricular activities for the holistic development of the students. He also congratulated the prize winners and participants for their excellent performances and motivated them to become inspiring leaders in their respective fields. FMS Chairman Rtn. H.S. Malik appreciated the excellent performances, blessed the award winners and guided them to be the torchbearers in nation building. He congratulated the FMS team for putting up such a spectacular event and thanked the FMS parents for their constant support and cooperation with the school. The event concluded with the National Anthem.

FMSian Adarsh Singh wins Silver in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Team Event in Asian Shooting Championship 2026.
FMS Star Shooter and Former Junior World Champion Adarsh Singh made the country and school proud by winning Silver Medal in 25 meter rapid fire pistol at the ongoing Asian Rifle/Pistol Championship 2026 at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges, New Delhi. Adarsh is an Indian sports shooter who competes in the 25 meter rapid fire pistol and 10 meter air pistol.
Earlier in 19th Asian Games held at Hangzhou, China he won Bronze Medal in 25 meter rapid fire pistol, in South Asian Games 2019 he won Gold and Bronze at Asian Shooting Championship in the same year. Further he won a silver at the ISSF World Cup 2021(New Delhi) in the 25m Rapid Fire Men Team Event.
FMS Academic Director Mrs. Shashi Bala congratulated Adarsh and said that his relentless dedication and unwavering hard work fills her heart with boundless pride. FMS Director Principal Mr. Umang Malik also congratulated Adarsh and further added that he is an inspiration for the young FMSians.
Faridabad Model School, Sector-31, has once again brought laurels to the institution by setting a remarkable benchmark in innovation, academic excellence, and holistic development. Demonstrating exceptional scientific curiosity and creativity, the school’s young innovators have achieved a significant milestone in the prestigious INSPIRE IDEA AWARDS 2025–26. Out of 1103 innovative ideas submitted from across the region only 60 outstanding ideas were selected to qualify for the next stage, and students from Faridabad Model School proudly secured their place among these distinguished innovators.
The INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) scheme is a flagship initiative of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The INSPIRE–MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge) programme aims to ignite scientific temperament among students of Classes VI to XII by encouraging them to develop original ideas and innovations rooted in science and societal applications.
For each selected idea, the Department of Science & Technology will sanction a scholarship of Rs. 10,000/-. Among the proud achievers, Vivaan Mehta of Class X conceptualized and designed an innovative Light Therapy Device that utilizes near-infrared (NIR) light technology, intended to provide potential wellness benefits, highlighting the application of science in enhancing human well-being. Another noteworthy innovation was presented by Shivam Kumar of Class XII, whose idea is based on the principles of rain detection integrated with laser light technology. His system is designed to detect rainfall at the very first drop, to minimize damage to crops, other valuable resources, thereby supporting agricultural sustainability.
Congratulating the students on their remarkable achievement, FMS Academic Director Mrs. Shashi Bala and Director-Principal Mr. Umang Malik expressed immense pride and appreciation for their dedication and innovative thinking. They also extended their best wishes to the students for the upcoming District-Level Exhibition and Project Competition 2025–26, where the young innovators will further showcase their ideas.
PARENTS’ ORIENTATION PROGRAMME AT FMS
Faridabad Model School, Sector-31, successfully organised a comprehensive Parents’ Orientation Programme for the academic session 2026–27, warmly welcoming new parents into the school community. The programme was thoughtfully designed to familiarise parents—regarded as true “partners in progress”—with the school’s curriculum, rules and regulations, innovative teaching methodologies, and a wide spectrum of co-scholastic activities that contribute to the all-round development of students.
This interactive session marked the beginning of a meaningful partnership between parents and the school. It provided an excellent platform for parents to gain deeper insights into the vision, mission, objectives, and educational philosophy of Faridabad Model School. The school leadership emphasized transparency, collaboration, and shared responsibility in nurturing young minds. The orientation programme stood as a sincere and well-structured initiative by the school to enlighten parents and build a strong foundation of trust and cooperation
Mr. Umang Malik, Director Principal of Faridabad Model School, addressed the gathering with great enthusiasm and conviction. In his inspiring speech, he highlighted the importance of the joyful pursuit of learning and the school’s commitment to fostering holistic development—intellectual, emotional, social, and physical—among students. He stressed that education at FMS goes beyond academics, aiming to shape confident, responsible, and compassionate individuals. Emphasizing the vital role of parents, Mr. Malik spoke about the need for a strong and equal partnership between home and school. He encouraged parents to actively engage in their child’s learning journey, as such collaboration significantly influences a child’s growth, helping them lead a positive, balanced, and fulfilling life.
The session concluded on a highly positive note, with parents expressing appreciation for the school’s efforts. They thoroughly enjoyed the programme and left feeling informed, reassured, and excited to embark on this educational journey in partnership with the school.
