Learning Beyond the Classroom: Class IV Students Explore Banking Services
Students of Class IV from Faridabad Model School embarked on an enriching educational visit to HDFC Bank, Sector 31, and Canara Bank, Sector 31, gaining valuable insights into the world of banking and financial services.
At Canara Bank, the students were warmly welcomed by Branch Manager Ms. Soniya Jain, along with Mr. Jaibir Singh and Ms. Swati. During the interactive and informative session, students learnt about different types of bank accounts and various government schemes such as Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, PPF and NPS. They also learnt how to fill a cheque and were sensitised about the importance of OTP, safe banking practices and security during digital transactions.
At HDFC Bank, the students were warmly received by Mr. Rajeev Mahajan, along with Ms. Sanju Sharma, Ms. Ritika and Ms. Ritu. They were introduced to different banking departments and given an insight into the functioning of ATMs and locker facilities. The students also had a hands-on experience of withdrawing money from an ATM, making the learning experience practical and engaging.
The visit provided students with real-life exposure to banking operations, enhanced their financial awareness and helped them understand the importance of responsible and secure banking practices. The school director Mr. Umang Malik expressed gratitude to both banks and their teams for their warm hospitality and for providing the students with such a meaningful learning experience.
