‘Beyond the Books, Into the World of Burgers!’ FMSians Discover the Magic Behind McDonald’s!

Students of Class-I of Faridabad Model School, Sector 31, visited McDonald’s, Sector-28, Faridabad, as part of an educational and experiential learning programme. The visit provided students with an opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the functioning of a professional food-service establishment and understand the importance of hygiene, safety, discipline and teamwork in the workplace.

During the visit, the students were introduced to the professional kitchen and observed various practices followed to maintain cleanliness, food hygiene and safety standards. They learned about the systematic organisation of the kitchen, safe handling of food and equipment, personal hygiene, and the importance of following standard operating procedures. Ms. Neelam, Guest Experience Leader, explained the functioning of the kitchen to the students and familiarized them with various kitchen operations, hygiene practices and safety measures. The students also interacted with the staff and gained valuable insights into the roles and responsibilities involved in running a professional restaurant. The students were also familiarised with the ordering and billing process at the restaurant. The students were further introduced to the takeaway procedure, gaining an understanding of how orders are packed, checked and handed over to customers efficiently and systematically.

The visit was an enriching and informative experience that connected classroom learning with real-world practices and fostered greater awareness about professionalism, hygiene, safety and workplace responsibility among the students. As a token of appreciation and participation, a Certificate of Visit was presented to the school by the McDonald’s team. Adding to the joy of the experience, each student was also presented with a complimentary coupon, making the educational visit even more memorable and delightful for the young learners.
